Could not be any happier with our deck!!!

I contacted probably about 25 Trex Pros from their website and Graber Outdoors was one. I had gotten so many quotes that were out of the range we wanted to spend – I was so tired of these high quotes when Graber reached out to me that I almost didn’t arrange a meeting with Alex. But man, I’m sure glad I did!!! He came out and was the most professional person I had spoken to in all those companies, he listened to my requests on budget and delivered a quote that was exactly what we wanted for a deck and within our price range! Literally 8-10k less than other “Pros”.

We had to wait a few months for our install (obviously it’s the busy season with warm weather) but the day finally came and we got our deck! The communication of the team and John himself was next level. I knew exactly what to expect and when it all would happen. The team was so kind and truly every member wanted to be a part of making us happy with their work. Not just the foreman!

There was a sharper edge of the deck that didn’t go flush with our concrete slab when the work was complete that I was afraid would annihilate our shins. When I expressed this concern, there was a fix within a few minutes and a filler of deck placed in. No questions! I feel like other contractors we’ve had in the past would’ve given excuses but Graber didn’t give not a one, they heard the concern and just fixed it.

I originally thought the port a potty was unnecessary but let me tell you it’s so nice to not have workers walking through your house and disturbing your work day. I’m ultimately super glad I didn’t nickel and dime that cost and can totally see why Graber does this.

All this to say we couldn’t be happier! I will recommend Graber to everyone that asks – they simply ROCK! Thank you to the team for all their hard work and providing us with a beautiful product that we’ll enjoy for years to come.

If I Could Give Graber Outdoors A Six Star Rating I Would!

Graber Outdoors recently completed a deck for us and we couldn’t be happier. They were extremely professional, their work was flawless and impeccable. They were extremely organized, bringing all the materials they would need, arranging for all the utility markings and permits and working with the highest quality of materials. The things that made us want to provide the highest rating possible: 1) Efficiency- they arrived on time, had our old deck torn out in just slightly over 1 hour and had the foundation for the new deck built on the first day. They brought everything they’d need- a trailer with their work tools, a dumpster, even their own bathroom! They completed the new deck within 3 days and besides a sparkly new deck, no signs they’d been there. 2) Workmanship- our space has some odd corners they had to fit the deck within and their cuts to address some of the odd angles were so beautifully done and perfectly aligned that even our home contractor called out the quality of their cuts. 3) Materials- The Trex decking and the locking system that allows for a seamless deck with almost no visible screw holes anywhere was totally unexpected. Knowing you will not have to deal with pop-up nails or scraping your foot on an imperfection in the height of the deck or on an imperfection caused by nails or screws in the future is such a huge relief. Additionally, having a “forever” material like Trex on our deck which is shaded and often wet and knowing we won’t have the experience with rot like our last deck is an additional relief. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a deck.

Great Company!

We got bids from several installers. Alex, Graber’s sales rep, did an excellent job of explaining our options and considerations. Graber’s bid proposal was competitive and more detailed than any other we received. We chose Trex, in part, because it was the most eco-friendly composite deck material – 95% recycled plastic film and reclaimed sawdust. In addition, Graber rehabbed our sub-structure (post piers, blocking, etc.) and added new treads and handrails our spiral staircase to further reduce waste and lower the cost.

Our crew chief, Joe, was courteous, timely, efficient, knowledgable and very hard working. His crew showed up on time, worked well together and kept the site clean at the end of each workday. John Graber always responded in a timely manner and was gracious when we had questions, discussed options or had specific requests. We really like the “picture-framing” of the deck boards and custom skirting. It makes the deck look very finished and sleek. We couldn’t be happier with the followthrough and outcome of our beautiful new deck! You won’t go wrong choosing Graber Outdoors.

Alex and John Graber listened to all the questions and concerns my wife and I had with all the different options for the teardown and building of the new deck. At the start of the project, John Y and Dusty (the crew chiefs) walked me through the process and answered all my questions as they came up. One of them was my concern about my dog. I have a Great Dane (Sam) that does not do well with change. I asked if they could do my upper deck last so Sam could still use the stairs during the construction. They made sure that I had stairs during the entire build (5days), to the point they even moved the old staircase to the side of the upper deck and anchored it for him. The entire crew made the entire teardown and installation of our new Trex Deck a smooth transition. I talked to John Graber on the night of the completion and told him I was having trouble with Sam going up and down the stairs. He had told me of a small project that he did in June where he built a carpeted ramp for (believe it or not a Great Dane). I told him that was a good idea and I’m going to work with Sam and see if I can’t work him past his uncertainty. Sam is starting to get his confidence up and I’m sure he will be fine in a few more days. I highly recommend Graber Outdoors because they take the time with you and care about their customers.

We Chose The Right One!

Unbelievable Results!! You know when you use a contractor, particularly when it deals with construction, remodeling, repairs….you hope you chose the right one. You’ve heard of those contractors that took some upfront money, did SOME work, and never returned. Well – We have never enjoyed an experience like we did during the building of our new deck. A teardown of the old 12×12 – 20-year-old wooded deck…replaced by a new Trex 24×12 deck. John Graber, the owner, managed the entire process. He communicated frequently by phone and in person. His work crew was the kindest, courteous group of men that worked well together. I have recommended Graber Outdoors to 2 neighbors already. Everything was carefully planned from the delivery of materials to setting of the dumpster to EVEN the clean shiny porta-potty. The clean-up after the deck was completed was so good that an outsider would have no idea we just added another “room” to the house. Don’t use anyone else because you’ll never find a contractor that will exceed your expectations as Graber Outdoors did. Great pricing also. We asked for other bids prior to choosing Graber. A Dedicated Professional

John worked with us repeatedly to make sure that we had the product selections that we wanted. The product was ordered and then delivered in approximately 45 days. Outstanding Work On Deck Building

Graber Outdoors built a deck from start to finish that makes for a perfect place to enjoy entertaining or just family time.
The foremen we had (Jesse and OJ)were extremely helpful to explain what the days work would entail. In addition, they listened to our requests for things we wanted done.
Each day they made sure there was a clean up of the area they had finished. The work on the flooring in the gazebo was so unique and the precision in the octagon flooring is amazing!

Easy To Work With

John and his crew put new composite boards on our dock, replacing the old wood boards. The crew was very professional and our new dock looks beautiful. I made a huge mistake hiring the wrong person to build my deck. Needless to say that I went with someone that was cheaper and he totally messed it up. I called John Graber and he was more than happy to come and look at it. They completely rebuilt my deck and it looks Great! They are very meticulous with their work. Exceeded Expectations

We contacted John to help us correct errors made by another fencing company who didn’t build the Trex deck correctly. John not only responded quickly to my request for a discussion about the back yard project but he was also able to provide us with a defined price quote. The quote was reasonable considering the knowledge that he possessed in correcting the Trex deck but also in building a cook space cover, built and designed after I showed him a photo of what I envisioned.

The work crew showed up promptly daily and would have completed the job within 5 calendar days had it not rained. A very professional crew who was respectful of the homeowners space and also respectful of the quality of work they performed.

Screened Porch and Deck

I never give reviews for work done, in this case I have to admit how impressed I was with the professionalism of this company. I could use other superlatives, but until you see these guys in action you will need to come to your own conclusion. Our project consisted of a tear-out and removal of the existing deck, and build a new deck along with a screened-in porch which had to be attached to the roof.
OJ and his crew started on the assigned day and were punctual from beginning to the end of the project, always keeping us abreast of the status each and every day. The work was done on schedule and we couldn’t be happier with the workmanship and attention to detail these guys provided.

John and his team did a great job on our deck project from start to finish. This includes the bid phase, demo, local permitting, all the way through completion and punch list items. John and his team built us a new deck with the Trex materials that far exceeded our expectations. There Should Be More Companies Like This One!

After several contractor visits, there was disappointment after disappointment. My wife and I were looking for a company to replace our wood board deck with composite and screen in the area. We were told by numerous contractors that they did not have a structural engineer in order to do what we wanted. They also wanted to just replace the boards with composite using the old foundation.
One morning while watching the news, I noticed a commercial for Graber Outdoors and decided to call. Alex came to our house and worked diligently with us. At first, it appeared no screen area was going to happen but Graber went back to the drawing board and came up with a design. And oh Man! What a design. Alex explained the entire process to us. We were happy with the design and decided to sign with Graber Outdoors. Best decision ever!
It took a while for Graber to start and now we know why. They do such GREAT work that their schedule was full. Took about 4 months from deposit to start date but it was/is worth the wait. The crew showed up bright and early one morning and began the process of deconstructing the old deck. After a nice introduction to the rocks of our subdivision that stalled the process slightly, the crew was on their way! Talking us through just about every step, 9 days later, PERFECTION. Deck renovation and addition

Our project included a renovation of our current deck/ railing along with the addition of a 12’x14’ new deck and expansion of a concrete patio. Trex products were used throughout with the addition of cocktail railing on two sections, something new for Graber Outdoors. The quality of the deck was exceptional. The patio work was done by a sub to Graber who also did an outstanding job. Our cable was cut accidentally during the process, but Graber worked with us on the bill to replace the cable. Overall, we’re very happy with the end result. It was worth the value it added to the house and we would recommend Graber Outdoors to anyone else for the same type of work!

Deck Reborn

We are so pleased with our new deck! We knew our 18 year old wood deck was looking bad, but now we realize just *how* bad it looked in comparison to our new Trex deck! Not only do all the finishes look beautiful, but our deck feels and sounds more secure when we walk on it now. We spend a lot of time at home, so we included some “extras” to ensure we would get the most out of our outdoor living space. The post lights add a pretty, welcoming glow at night, and the “dusk to dawn” setting is perfect. The cocktail railing provides a “polished touch” to the overall look, as do the black metal-wrapped posts. As beautiful and functional as the deck is, probably the thing we are most excited about is the drainage system that now prevents water from going through the floor to the patio below. Rain water and any spilled water (e.g. from watering plants) is now funneled into a discreet gutter. We chose to have a ceiling installed under the deck to make the space more “room like.” We went with the red cedar option and it’s just gorgeous! (It smells good too!) We’ve had several rains and sprinkles since the job was finished and it’s nice and dry below. Sitting in a cozy space during a nice rain is a lovely option. Practically speaking, we no longer have to worry about bringing in cushions (or forgetting them) when it rains. The deck and patio are now spaces we, and our friends and family, can truly enjoy for years to come. Everyone we worked with at Graber and everyone who came to our home to work was pleasant and professional and easy to work with. There was no downside to anything about our experience.

Willing To Work With You

John and his crew did an excellent job on my deck. From a surprise that one corner of my existing framing was way out of level, to working with me on coming up with a way to use balusters to fill the gap between the bottom of the deck and the stairs without setting posts on that side of the stairs since mine are only 4′ wide and already lost about 10” with the hand railing on the outside.

John also made at least 5 trips out here to replace boards because 3 of the deck boards didn’t match the Saddle color as the rest of the deck. Once when Trex sent the supplier a shipment, problem solved.

I highly recommend Graber Outdoors. Fast, friendly, willing to work with you and they clean up daily.

The crew was above and beyond with outstanding work from start to finish. They employ their techniques to create a wonderful deck for our home. They were very transparent and informative over what the project would entail, and specifically, the amazing crew leader Jesse and his talented crew Conrad, Alex, and Zac worked very hard and paid no negligence to any detail. Together the team turned an old 25 year-old wooden deck into a beautiful covered and insulated deck that practically looks like an extension of the house itself! I did a lot of research in an effort to find a good deck company. I first read about John on eNeighbors where he had a lot of good reviews. Then we discovered that one of our friends had their deck built by John and were very happy with his work. I did get other bids but chose John because of their reputation of being honest and doing good work. John was extremely busy so we had to wait until he could get to us. He kept us appraised of when he thought he could do the work and he started our project exactly on the date he originally predicted. His team was professional and friendly. They did a great job with the deck. It looks as good as John said it would be. We are glad we used Graber Outdoors.

Fantastic Quality

We had them rebuild and extend our old deck and redo our concrete Patio. It was great work and very professional done. The quality is fantastic and we are looking forward to enjoy this with the family this fall.

Perfect from start to finish

Graber set a work date and started on time. Here are the 3 things that stood out to me :
1. Workers were professional, polite, knowledgeable, and never took a break. Danial took off the old deck and replaced it with the new and he was focused on the details and and making my new deck solid. He showed up at 7:30 and never took a break.
2. The company is well organized. Emails before the start date, dumpster delivery the day of the start of the job, materials delivered early morning of the job, all in all I was very impressed with how organized they were.
3.Focus on the details were part of their job description. No nails left behind, great clean up, all boards cut beautifully, not one “ oops” could be found.
I could not be more pleased with the job and the people I interacted with. If I had to give a rating of 1 to 10 I would give a 15 !

My wife and I cannot express how thrilled and excited we are with the team at Graber Outdoors! No Surprises

John and his team replaced our residential deck. Demolished the old deck with lots of wood rot, replaced a section of siding, and build a new composite Trex deck. It was a hassle-free project with no surprises. The new deck looks great and hopefully low maintenance for decades!

Punctuality & Attention To Detail!

Graber Outdoors did a great job on our deck. I had built our deck on our last house and just didn’t have time to work on this one. They showed up on the exact day that they said they would and had it done in almost 2 weeks (it’s a large deck, close to 950 sqft). The final product looks great and they have a good eye for the finish detail.

We had a few different companies give estimates. John Graber came back with a different plan that included detailed drawings that allowed us a larger deck and entertaining space below. We had a difficult project that included having to remove pavers and concrete to install new footers . Not only did they tear down and put of new deck , but they worked hard to find a good match of pavers and relay around new post. I thought the 3 man team was very professional along with the project manager. I would recommend giving them a call.
