We got bids from several installers. Alex, Graber’s sales rep, did an excellent job of explaining our options and considerations. Graber’s bid proposal was competitive and more detailed than any other we received. We chose Trex, in part, because it was the most eco-friendly composite deck material – 95% recycled plastic film and reclaimed sawdust. In addition, Graber rehabbed our sub-structure (post piers, blocking, etc.) and added new treads and handrails our spiral staircase to further reduce waste and lower the cost.
Our crew chief, Joe, was courteous, timely, efficient, knowledgable and very hard working. His crew showed up on time, worked well together and kept the site clean at the end of each workday. John Graber always responded in a timely manner and was gracious when we had questions, discussed options or had specific requests. We really like the “picture-framing” of the deck boards and custom skirting. It makes the deck look very finished and sleek.
